The Rowe St East carpark is a newly built, 146-bay multilevel facility in Eastwood - a dynamic suburban centre in the Ryde LGA, north-west of Sydney. It offers a large shopping and commercial precinct to its multicultural population of over 17,000 people, as well as the many visitors drawn to the renowned Asian speciality stores, supermarkets and restaurants.
The car park is owned by City of Ryde and was built to address parking demand and congestion challenges, plus to help boost the local economy. The facility comprises four levels of parking and is serviced by Skidata’s Access Control and Park Agility’s Parking Guidance Solution (PGS); the deployed PGS includes: individual bay sensors and indicator lighting; rooftop area count technology; internal wayfinding signs; and a large external double sided sign advertising bay availability in real time for three separate parking categories.
The City of Ryde are also taking advantage of Park Agility’s interface capabilities to further their strategic smart city agenda, the solution enabling bay availability data to be pushed to the NSW Park’nPay App to enable customers to plan their trip before arriving at this metropolitan hub.
